Even as Solstice drew nigh, the moss celebrated a sprint of clear sunlight above freezing, taking full advantage to brighten the landscape with a fresh flush of photosynthesis as the calendar passed wintertide. Early that morning, the sky opened to drop icy winter , sleet and fog, yet the torrent was insufficient to dull bright impetus of life reaching toward sunshine.]]></description>
